Leading Lights

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

Leading Lights, which started in 2015, are a group of enthusiastic children from Discovery Class (Y5 and Y6) who play a very important role in developing the Christian character of the school.  Their responsibilities include:

  • Planning, leading and evaluating Collective Worship
  • Being ambassadors and actively promoting our Christian values of friendship, fairness, helpfulness and respect
  • Promoting the use and enjoyment of the Spiritual Garden
  • Acting as a voice on behalf of our fellow pupils with regard to the Christian distinctiveness of our school.
  • Being responsible for maintaining the prayer and reflection spaces and take the lead in creating and carrying out prayer in both collective and class worship.

They encourage children to consider what they can do to ensure everyone grows and flourishes.

Leading Lights wrote and performed an act of worship for Anti-Slavery Day. It focused on the story of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Learning as we grow. Growing as we learn. Rooted in Jesus.
